Aris Pump was founded in 1953 as engineering and manufacturing company in Cyprus, by John Kynigos. In 1960 the company expanded to importing and distributing diesel engines and other equipment. In 1974 all the company's facilities were lost in the war in Northern Cyprus, and in 1975 restarted in Southern Cyprus again. In 1980 Pantelis Kynigos joined his father, John Kynigos, and expanded the company to an international level. From the beginning of 2004, the company introduced the FARETRA and FORMULA 1 range products to the world market.
